I am off to Norfolk for a few days at the end of October - A trip I make every April and October. I am going for an extra day this year though and therefore have a fair bit of time to fill, so was wondering if anyone knows of any other sites to visit around the North Norfolk area or just have any tips.
I always visit the likes of Cley and Titchwell and will do so again this year (With short trips to Salthose and Holme also planned as usual), and seeming as I'm coming from Bedfordshire I was going to visit Welney WWT for the first time on the way, to see the Whoopers and Bewick's.
Other than that, I found a site called Warham Greens that I was going to try for a couple of evenings (A raptor roost), but I don't know much about it, and I was considering a walk up to Blakeney Point, although don't know how far to walk, where the hotspots are located (The Plantation, The Hood??) or whether it would be worth it.
I was guessing if I add in a bit of seawatching that that could probably take up a few days, although given its a rare opportunity I was hoping to pack in as much as possible. Is there anything special around Burnham/Holkham in October or am I better off spending my spare time tracking down any rarities reported?
Thanks for any help in advance!
