Need help setting my Rode Videomic microphone with Tascam Dr-05X (1 Viewer)

Hello! I have a strange problem with a mic I bought last year and I noticed the issue few days ago. I gonna explain detailed

I use Tascam Dr-05x
I have Rode Videomic Rycote as external mic.

I was assembling a video where I combare Tiivos song from 2023 with Tiivo JR song in 2024. It was a first time I ever recognized a bird song from previous year.

Here is the video so You can hear what problem I have.

While I was doing that, I suddenly noticed how Tiivo audio from 2023 is super clear, like a PNG quality. (I used only Tascam to record him)
But on Tiivo JR 2024 audio, it sounds like JPG when I used Tascam + Rode videomic. It doesn't sound that clear and I did not know it is not supposed to be like this. I only noticed this because I did a comparison video.

Weird is that I can't hear a difference with my headphones when it was on. Somehow on PC it sounds like that and when I recorded the birds, I was unaware of this and some audios are lower quality :( .

Does anybody here knows is there a way to fix this issue? I was told that this is an equipment incompactivity and there is nothing can be done.

Ofc I learned a lesson and wont be using this mic when bird is 50cm away from me. I also did not see any clipping in audacity either (Like the audio didn't go against the sides what makes it distort or clip) It looked like a normal audiofile. Here is a RAW file with no edits (There is always the handling noise in the beginning when I set it up)

I never changed my Tascam Dr-05x settings, I always recorded my birds with these settings:

24bit
sample 96k,
type stereo.
1h is 2gb

Thank you so much who here is a tech dude and can help me figure it out. I feel so heartbroken that I ruined some audios this way. I mean the bird is still "clear" enough to hear and stuff, it's just it is like JPG/muddy/dirty quality

Or maybe I misunderstand and thats how microphones have to sound? I am still confused.
