Need advice on gimbal head for bird videos (1 Viewer)

Looking for a new gimbal head to mount my spotting scope on the tripod, so that I can keep the birds in sight for stable videos.

My current setup is a tripod + scope. I was thinking a gimbal head would be a good solution.

Anyone have any experience with using a gimbal head on a spotting scope? What are your recommended setups for bird videos with a scope?

I have two gimbal heads and the one that is good for video is the Gitzo with its dampening. For video though I bought a Sachtler Ace XL video head and a Robus tripod. Much easier to track animals in motion with a video head and the camera and lens above it than to do so with a gimbal head.
