My bird patio feeding station... (1 Viewer)

I really enjoy the birds...lol like everyone else here. We had the feeders hanging from our pergola for a few years. Not liking the mess underneath. Actually the husband had issues with it,not I.

So last year when we put in our backyard waterfall...he gave me a surprise! A bird feeding patio!!! Love it! The pergola looks tidier again as well.

We feed bluebird Nuggets which bring in so many birds, but is becoming quite expensive. $4 a day...per bag.

Thistle...bought a new bag and haven't seen a goldfinch since...considering it bad feed maybe?

A mix variety that has seed for my mourning doves as well.

Fruit and Mix for the open feeder with the leaves as well as my two way mirror window bird feeder.

Bummed a bit...as I took this photo a red headed woodpecker flew onto the feeder then away. (It had a red head as one would) it has iluded me. I only catch glimpses as he flies off. To busy eyeing the photo for angle.

But we get all the native woodpeckers other than I've not seen the northern flicker yet. All the rest I've seen. The downy ones aren't even afraid of us.

Thanks...it is very peaceful out back. Though the Pileated woodpecker no longer flys off when we're outside. He calls like he is sassing us to leave. Sometimes if he doesn't give up. I'll go sit in my sunroom which has a great view of the feeders as well. He'll swoop in...perch on the crossbars of the bird pole...like he is king of the hill. Then go eat from the feeder. Cracks me up!
