Musselburgh / Aberlady bird report - 2/11/2021 (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

As mentioned before, I finally had the opportunity to do a bit of birding in Musselburgh for the first time today. Had a very successful outing and will definitely be back soon.

Notable highlights were a Red Necked Grebe at the lagoons and what I believe was a Grey Plover, sighted just across from the car park for Aberlady Golf Course. I am not 100% on this so I have attached a photo (Albeit a very poor one, wasn't able to get too close with all the Redshanks acting as wardens). If someone could positively ID this for me, that would be great.

Other highlights include Little Egret, Red Throated Diver, Goldeneye, Goosander, Red Breasted Merganser, Bar Tailed Godwit (again, not 100% on this. Photo attached so if someone could ID, that would be helpful!), Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Linnet, Twite, Goldfinch and many more. Really enjoyable day out - great weather too.

Photos below for ID'ing. Thanks guys.
