My bird dog prefers fish
How tame can these birds become? I have a nest on my front porch, they're getting more and more comfortable with me and this morning I could actually touch the Mom as she sat in the nest with her babies. I know I need to be very careful about disturbing them, I'm sure I'm doing okay ... babies are thriving and Mom and Dad show no signs of distress.

Not that I would tame them, or would want to, I'm just curious. I've never been around more peaceful and calm birds in my life. I think it's quite extraordinary.

I think they have to figure that they now are committed to the 2 young. They will feed them etc. You just are a danger they can't do anything about.

If you go and disturb earlier..with eggs... they could potentially abandon the nest.
