Gull-billed Tern are regular visitors to Laguna de Medina where the main confusion species, Sandwich Tern (which is more maritime in its habits) would be extremely unusual. Note the thick relatively stubby (= gull-like) black bill without a yellow tip. Gull-billed Terns are often to be found hawking over agricultural fields along the minor road running north from Jerez to Trebujena (A-2000).
