Manfrotto 501 Head Quick-release Plate Compatible with 2003 Fieldscope (2 Viewers)

Hey all,

I just bought an old tripod with a Manfrotto 501 fluid head for a newly-acquired ED82 Fieldscope. The 501 quick-release adapter plate screw doesn’t fit the Fieldscope threads.

Can anyone direct me to the correct plate for this head & scope?

Hi,

as for the screws, there are two kinds for tripods, heads and plates - 1/4" and 3/8" both UNC. Most plates have a 1/4" screw which does not easily detach...

If the QR plate you have does not fit your foot, there is either sth screwed on there from a camera system, which should be taken off to get a flat QR plate or you need to get a spare plate, these are readily available from Manfrotto $$$ to Aliexpress $...
