Hi To all - Been looking for info on the Manfrotto 074 & 075 Tripods - but nothing on manfrotto site or the web that i could find,

Basically all i want to know is what is the difference between them, i know they are a old but good heavy tripod, but unsure about their specs or max load weights.

any help appreciated

As you say, good sturdy tripods. I was looking for one of these myself a while ago and from memory the 075 has adjustable struts while the 074's are fixed which means the 074 won't go as low as the 075 and it isn't as versatile on uneven ground. Max load is about 12kg.

Hope that helps.

Hi - Dave thanks for info, have decided to get the 058B on a recommendation from a guy i met on golf course - he says its best tripod he has ever had - will only be used for 100 ED Spotting Scope ( Rear garden only ) should be really sturdy as i understand this is also takes up to 12kg - so at least no weight loading probs,

Thanks again
Regards
John

You may also take into account a wooden tripod eg. Berlebach. They are reasonably priced and very sturdy.

Cheers, finally decided on a manfrotto 058B - on Recommendation - Have found one in local classifieds, collect tomorrow only been used a couple of times as its to heavy for for the chap to hump around on the moors etc - so its as new £80 - think i got a good deal on it

Regards
John

A real beast of a tripod, I bet you were surprised at the diameter of the legs. Huge! A great feature is the quick release lever to drop the legs although perhaps limited use to you. A great buy at £80 none-the-less.
