Manfrotto 055XDB (1 Viewer)

I've been looking at tripods to buy with the total of the head and tripod coming to around £100 and have decided that for my needs a manfrotto 055 will be suitable for the tripod legs. what I can't understand is the differences between certain models in the 055 range.
I can't work out why the 055xdb is so cheap, at £49.99 here or £85.99 with 804rc2 head.
from looking at manfrotto's website it looks like the lowest height the tripod can reach with legs splayed is 48cm, but I don't think that would be a problem. Is this the only difference or is there something I'm missing?

I think the only other difference is that the tripod has thumb screw leg locks which I think would take longer. So my question is pretty much answered :)
