Male hybrid Mallard x ? Casablanca, Morocco, 16/03/2025 (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I don't think this is a plumage aberration, but a hybrid. However I've no idea what could be the second parent involved. At one point I thought of Red-crested Pochard because of the pattern of the head ressembled that of this species female's head, but I'm not really convinced.
Any ideas about it ?

This may well be correct but I thought intersex birds were females developing male features and the real giveaway was a female like bill, this bird has a bill which doesn't look female.
