While going through old photos I came across the attached one taken on the Nile near Luxor on 5th January 2009. It appear to be a heron/egret but would welcome ID if possible. Sorry that full details are not clear in the photo.

Hi. By the long narrow bill, dark stripe under the eye and, brown colour, maybe juvenile Purple Heron?
