Long Billed or Brown Thrasher in Raleigh NC USA (1 Viewer)

Long misshapen bill on what seems to be a long billed thrasher, though that would not typical to this area. Brown thrashers are common here, but they all have much shorter bills. Photo from today and yesterday in heavily wooded area of Raleigh NC.

Welcome to BirdForum. Your bird is a Brown Thrasher with a deformed bill. It's too rufous above for a Long-billed Thrasher. Quite a strange looking bird!

Welcome to Birdforum! I believe that this is indeed a Brown Thrasher with an abnormal bill

I agree with the above.

It looks healthy enough though so it must be doing okay with feeding itself. Hopefully.
