Hi all.
Hope the stint gurus can help.
I’m trying to get a sense of separating non-breeding Little and Red-necked stint.
I see a feature quoted in this article…
It mentions in non-breeding plumage that little stint has a split supercillium and red-necked non-breeding doesn’t.
I’m pouring over pics on reliable sources of sites that I know are most likely to have the birds correctly identified and I’m not seeing a split supercillium effect at all.
Is this actually a feature and if so can someone post an image of this effect and explain what this article is referring to as it it’s a viable feature it’s a great one.
