A few pics of a leucistic sparrow. I just wondered how common leucism is in sparrows (having not seen it before), and whether such symmetrical leucism is also common. Cheers!

In my experience leucistic sparrows are not uncommon. We had a male with identical patches on both wings.
 
Thanks Robin. That's what I figured. I just thought it was odd not to have come across it in sparrows when I've seen so many of them, and yet I've seen examples of leucism in lots of different bird species that I don't see so many of.
