Kookuburra in South Africa (1 Viewer)

Hi All.

I am not that familiar with Australian birds but this bird was seen in Melrose in South Africa in someone's garden. I am pretty sure it is aLaughing Kookuburra but would like someone whio knows these birds to confirm if you could.

Thanks.
Doug
I lived in south africa as a child during the 1960s and came to australia in '72 at age 9, but i distinctly remember singing the kookaburra song whilst in SA at school. I found this odd as an australian when i later learned they were native to here. it's cool to get confirmation that they are actually present in SA. I had previously wondered if we simply sang a homage to them from afar.
