Personally, I think that SOCs are a hindrance and unnecessary for a scope, particularly if it has rubber armouring.
However, it's unlikely that Kowa, Leica, Swarovski and Zeiss manufacture their own SOCs, so if Kite are indeed the inventors, perhaps they are also the suppliers.
