Juvenile gull species (1 Viewer)

I saw his gull in Istanbul, Turkey, last week and at first thought it was a juvenile great black backed gull but now I am not so sure as GBB Gulls are vagrants to Turkey. It was larger than nearby juvenile yellow legged gulls and shows broad pale tips to the tertials but doesn't look quite right for a GBB gull. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.

it's a second summer/winter yellow-legged gull, fairly retarded in plumage developement since most YLG at this age already show many grey scapulars. in this bird even 3rd generation scaps are barred (the duller brown ones).
