Is this bird part of the Finch family (1 Viewer)

Hello All,

This is the first time I have personally seen this bird in my garden. Can someone please help me identify this lovely looking bird. I personally think that it is part of the finch family. But I am sure some of you more experianced birders will put me right

You're correct Stephen - that's a female Chaffinch (the male's a corker too)

It's a female Chaffinch so yes it's part of the finch family.
