It's only Rock and Roller but I like it

During 2010, my good friend Gary Prescott (53) AKA the Biking Birder, a special needs teacher in the West Midlands, is cycling to every RSPB nature reserve and Wildfowl and Wetland Trust site in the UK open to the public. His aim is to cycle at least 5,000 miles to over 190 nature reserves over the year in order to raise funds for three charities; namely the RSPB, the Wildfowl & Wetland Trust and Asthma UK (Gary is asthmatic).
In addition to this physical feat, Gary is also be attempting to break the non-motorised year list record. He is now tantalisingly close to the target (252) as he finishes his jouney down the east coast before heading back up the country to the West Midlands for Christmas. There are a number of key species Gary is missing and any information regarding Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Garganey, Long-eared Owl and Woodlark will be gratefully received. Given some of these are sensitive species I am happy for you to Private Message me and I will pass the details onto Gary.
More information, including where he will be on each day and how to support his efforts, is available on his website www.bikingbirder.co.uk. A fuller account of his travels is available on his daily blog at www.bikingbirder2010.blogspot.co.uk.
Many Thanks
Phil
