Independent Malaysia- Location Planning (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

New to birdforum so not sure if this is the right place to post. I'm currently planning an budget/independent trip to Peninsular Malaysia for later this year and was wondering what locations would be best for birding

Firstly for the highlands, obviously Fraser's Hill but was also wondering about Bukit Larut and/ or Cameron Highland. Is it worthwhile making multiple stops or will there just be the same species at each? Especially any recent information on the latter birding wise would be appreciated as everything I can find is from years ago.

Secondly for Taman Negara, was wondering whether this is still worth trying as I've heard has become quite restrictive access wise in recent years, again some up to date information would be useful.

Of course any suggestions for other good locations for birds are very much welcome

Thanks in advance
