Help I'm an accidental bird murderer! (1 Viewer)

I was sweeping under a roofed area in my backyard and I knew there was bird nest but I assumed there were no birds because I haven't seen any flying to or from the nest so I swept under it and head some chirping and a baby bird jumped out in front of me and there was a sick crack when it landed. What do I do I think I scared it or something and it jumped out?

Hi Dragonzilla and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. These things happen I'm afraid.

First off have a look at our guidelines here for the care of injured and baby birds. This may help you to decide what to do now. Please let us know how you get on.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I think you will find us a friendly and helpful group.

I checked and they were dead so I buried them and there is one unhatched egg with a small crack in it left in the nest. I set up a camera and so far no birds have been near the nest even, i'll keep it rolling overnight and check the footage in the morning.
