Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and I'd like your help identifying a bird from its song. I recorded the audio today, 20090419, at about 1300 local time (GMT -6) in the woods near my home in south Mississippi (31 deg 41 min north latitude).
I don't hear this bird sing during winter months, but I frequently hear it during spring and summer.
The wav file is rather large (at 2.1 megabytes), even after ratcheting down the sampling rate to 16 kHz. The recording is about 35 seconds long, real time, with three repetitions of the bird's song at 3 seconds, 15 seconds, and 30 seconds into the file. There's a cardinal or two and a tufted titmouse in the background.

Any help identifying the bird would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jay
