I am in Southern Utah went to verify a bird ID (1 Viewer)

I am in Southern Utah near Zion national Park. Ithink this is a northern flicker, but would like verification. I don't know if it was migrating or resident, but it stayed still in this position a long time. it doesn't have the typical mature plumage of a flicker, but it has the body shape and I saw a white rump when it flew off.

Northern Flicker is correct. They are resident in Utah year-round, but it's possible this one was on its way north to Canada.
I'm not at all confident in the colors as represented in the photo, but the face pattern does not seem typical of a red-shafted flicker (which is what one should expect in Utah). I'm not sure if this is an intergrade bird, a yellow-shafted bird migrating through, an immature bird, or simply photo artifact.
