Hummingbird Mazatlan Mexico (1 Viewer)

So this afternoon, no camera or binoculars and I see this busy little hummingbird that really struck me because of its russet colouring.

Now the weather has been crazy this year. Is it totally impossible that what I saw was Allen’s hummingbird. I think rufous is even more unlikely.

Thanks as always.

Seems there is more than one location in Mexico of that name: Sinaloa or elsewhere?

The most common hummer in Barra de Navidad, Mexico (where I have my boat) is the Cinnamon. At a glance, you might think Allen's or Rufous if those are the orangey hummers you are used to seeing. It looks like Mazatlan is the northern part of the Cinnamon's range. I did go on line and saw a post from a resident of Mazatlan that talks of the Cinnamons in her yard.

Thank you so much folks. Mazatlan Sinaloa and the hummingbird I saw was definitely the cinnamon - not in the bird books I have and so a new bird for me!
