My name is Sophie and I am very thrilled about this forum! I always loved to go to the park and making pictures of beautiful pieces of nature. Recently I'm really in to birds and I'm learning so much. If anyone has any tips about how to recognize different species let me know!

Hi Sophie and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. Learn the bills, the different lengths, sizes, shapes etc. This will guide you to the family... finches, tits, raptors, waders etc. Linked here is the Beaks section of our Opus Topography article: Topography - BirdForum Opus however, the whole article is well worth reading.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.
