can anyone explain (or cite a reference which explains) what heteropreening is and the ways in which it differs from allopreening?

In allopreening, preening is between conspecifics (same species). In heteropreening, different species are grooming. Konrad Lorenz being preened by a corvid friend is heteropreening.
