help identifying “hey mister” bird call (1 Viewer)

Hi all! I’ve grown up in central North Carolina and for as long as I can remember, I hear a specific bird call in my backyard that I can only describe as sounding like “hey mister” repeated quickly three times in a row per call. I usually hear it in spring/summer only. I’ve scoured youtube and the internet with no answers. Currently my best guess is that it’s a variation of the Carolina Wren call, but I haven’t been able to find a recording that sounds exactly like what I hear. It’s very distinct, and if you heard it you would definitely hear the “hey mister” in the call. Any thoughts?? If I happen to get a recording I’ll upload it!

Hi there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum :t:

Any way you could get a recording of the call?
