Help - birds and pool cage (1 Viewer)

My mom lives in Florida and she has a pool cage. Birds have started landing on her pool cage and pooping.

Is anyone else having this problem and what did you do to solve this?

You mean the big screen house over the whole outdoor area right? I understand the issue, although it never seemed to be a problem where I was staying. You might be able to try, if you can find a little statue of a bird of prey, and sit it on top of one of the corners, where it's clearly visible, that might scare some of them off. Otherwise, short of actively scaring them away constantly or putting up something else to prevent them from landing there, I don't know what else to suggest. We found that aluminium foil works well for keeping birds away, the reflection of the sun and the crinkling sounds as it moves about in the wind works well. Though I'm not sure how well that would work as it would be under the screen and the birds on top. Invest in a cat maybe :p haha, just kidding. Hope you can find a solution.

If the statue of the bird of prey doesn't work, try a faux snake - may need to reposition the snake every so often.
Is it a particular kind of bird? Is it dry in the area? Maybe the birds are eyeing the water in the pool?

We tried a fake snake with sparrows, it had absolutely no effect, lol. But you may have better luck with it, who knows.
