Hi there
I’ve been interested in birds since I was little but only just now starting to seriously seek them out. I’m based in London but currently travelling in SE Asia. Have seen some great birds, mostly from my own observations with a relatively cheap pair of 10x 40 Carson binoculars picked up in Hanoi.
I’m currently in Southern Laos and wondering where might be good to go to see birds. Dispiriting posts about the lack of birds here makes me wonder if it’s worth making the effort with only 2 weeks left to head to remote national parks. The Mekong has so far been my best bet. Stork billed kingfishers, pied kingfishers ,bee eaters, spot billed ducks and Brahminey Kite to mention a few. Grateful for any suggestions. Thank you! 🙏
