Does anyone have suggestions to get rid of squirrels and pigeons and don’t say stop feeding them because I tried that and it’s breaking my heart to see my favorite birds out there looking for food

Hi MJruns and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. You can get squirrel-proof feeders, which should help. As for pigeons (are these Mourning Doves, or feral pigeons). Either way, I've become more relaxed over the years and think that they are birds and also need to eat. I'd try and feed them seeds on the ground a bit away from the main feeding station.

You will get some more ideas in our Garden Birds section: Garden Birds, Bird Feeding & Nestboxes

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing about the birds you see around you.

Welcome to Birdforum. I use feeders in cages which are squirrel proof and the larger birds can’t access them either.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I think you will find us a friendly and helpful group. For squirrels a feeder with a squirrel cage will normally work, for pigeons you can find feeders with very small perches, or something like the squirrel cage.
