I just love 'em...

Anyway, after last year's regular visitations, I am pleased to report that yesterday evening we had the first "hedehog activation" of the security light of 2004, and he (?) soon put the ground table to good use!

Bet you're glad to see them back!
I live in a built up area and therefore have no hedgehogs...well, not in my garden anyway...wish we did!
Tonight though I finished planting out a few plants for the bees/butterflies...Foxgloves,Scabious and Verbascum...and mowed the lawn and finished it all in the dark(9.15pm)! Had to use the garden light to finish off and just as I was about to lock up I saw my first Lacewing of the year...very welcome sight!!!
It's always lovely to see the wildlife, however common, that comes to the garden, isn't it? Folk that use weedkillers/decking/sprays etc don't know what they are missing!

Great to get a visit again... hopefully this means another summer's worth.

We try to do what we can to make our garden a friendly place for them.

Too right!

Saw my first hedgehog of the year this evening. In the headlights of my car!! Don't panic - I checked the rv mirror and saw it scurry across safely to the other side of the road - yeah, I was relieved too!!
