Last year I bought a Handycam nest box with WiFi camera. I cant find the setup instructions and wondered if anyone else had bought the same and could let me have them. The company seem to have disappeared their wesite, phone number and email are inoperative. They were based in Cornwall.
Thanks
Bob

Hi Bob,
Yes, I have a handykam nest box and camera, also purchased last year. I noticed that they were gone, initially it said they would be offline whilst they moved to new premises and the website says 'coming soon' but it has been like that for several months. The good news however, is that their informational videos are still on youtube, so perhaps that will be of some help? https://www.youtube.com/user/handykams/playlists
My nest box is up and running however i am using an ethernet connection rather than wifi, with POE supplying the power and the internet connection in the one cable.
Regards
Barry

Go Pros have the disadvantage for nest box use in that they don't focus close enough, they aren't IR capable for use in the dark and are suitable for multi-day continuous usage.

I too went in search of Handykam just now and found they have disappeared. I have had a very successful Handykam nest box and camera for about 5 years. The camera is wired and works well, but I wanted to buy a new bird house to start in a new location. The camera is mounted on a thin rectangle piece of ply with a wing nut. I need to find another nest box with a similar roof opening operation so I can slot the camer/board into place above the nest itself.

How hard is it going to be to find another next box with a roof opening that I can slot the camera into?
