Interesting - although it remains to be seen how effective the Commission's threats will be. I see from the article that Robert Evans (a Labour MEP) has been pressing for action. I will be on Malta in Spring.

Interestingly enough I received two mails from Admin this morning with similar content:

Your account on BirdForum has been locked because someone has tried to log into the account with the wrong password more than 5 times. You will be able to attempt to log in again in another 15 minutes.

The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 115.192.138.8 (can anyone advise me how to trace this?)

I wonder if it has anything to do with this (from Facebook):

I don't know how this person accessed my profile. He/she is NOT a friend but has mailed me on my profile:

"WITH WHAT RIGHT YOU CALL US MALTESE BASTARDS?????? BASTARD IS YOUR MOTHER YOU MORON ASSHOLE. LEAVE US ALONE YOU MORON AND MIND YOUR COUNTRY'S BUSINESS. WE DONT NEED SHITHEADS LIKE YOU IN MALTA> WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE????????"

and

WHEN YOU ARE IN MALTA CALL ME SO I SHOW YOU WHO IS THE BASTARD YOU BLOODY PIG.

I have reported this to the Malta Police. My attempted profile of the offender is:

"Maltese male, hunter with several illegal mounted bird trophies at home, 30-45 years of age, married, drives a pick-up, poorly educated and hides his innate cowardice behind a gun and a pseudonym"

Hopefully things are going in the right direction on Malta.
I have a good friend ( Max Furrugia ) who works for IAR on Malta and runs a very good wild bird rescue. He has been over to see me on his travels and whilst taking the serious issues of trapping and shooting to the UK Government.
