Hi there

Just out of interest does anyone have the stats for this please?

BTW had this scope and set up now for the last month and totally blown away by it.

Cheers

Never seen one in the flesh, be interested to see what the view is like!

Peter
Hi Peter.
I suffered my ‘eye fatigue’ using my Kowa. The viewing is far more ‘relaxed’ using both eyes and clearly with ‘binocular’ vision the image really stands out almost 3D like.

The first time I used one ‘in the flesh’ I knew it was the one for me!

Cheers

Dangerous stuff! Does the apparent field of view feel a bit narrow given the NL and others give another 10degrees width?

Peter

This is something that i wanted but have not found a use in my country yet. We don’t really have vast areas of land that have flocks of birds to observe at a distance. Can you share how you are using it with a 115 and a BTX? I can only think of using it for star gazing but that might be too short compared to a telescope?

Coming from a 30x WA it did initially feel narrow and I take your point in comparison to the 10 degrees width. After a months use the extra 5x power and absolute ease of use and immersive viewing make sure you are fully able to analyse the image without squint or eye strain - in my opinion make up for it

Mainly for observing seabirds and scanning the sky for raptors

And I can report measuring my BTX115 FOV at 1.827 degrees with uncertainty of about 0.01 degrees, consistent with Swarovski published number above.
