Forest optics forester ed (1 Viewer)

Forest Optics is the UK brand name of a UK based family business (Marchwood) I've had some contact with them and found them down to earth and helpful.

Forest Optics and Marchwood

Anybody had a look at their 8x42 model or indeed know anything about the company.

Thanks Gerard.

The folks at Marchwood have been in the industry for many years and have always been associated with good quality optics without being greedy with their prices.
I have just been comparing their 10x42 Forester ED with my B&L Elite; an Optisan open hinge PC Pro and a Smith & Wesson PC.
It's obvious that any half decent modern binocular gives a staggering image compared with 10 or 12 years ago but I can't tell the difference between the Elite and the Forester ED although the Elite cost over twice the ED. The weather is extremely bright this morning and the air is clear so maybe under more testing conditions, the Elite and the Forester will prove to be better than the other two but I am really impressed by the Optisan and the S&W as both cost about £100 less than the Forester.
