Focus control wheel not working (1 Viewer)

Hi, I'm new to this forum ! So be gentle 😁
I have a pair Barr & Stroud Savannah 10 x 56 ED FMC Phase coated binoculars, unfortunately the focus wheel doesn't work, IE it just turns and turns but it doesn't focus,
Obviously my main plan would be to replace with a new one,
Which I can't find Anywhere,
Plan B does anyone on here have a broken set of barr&stroud binoculars that they wish to sell so I can salvage the focus wheel mechanism,
Or take a look at my attached photos to see if I am missing something,
I live in Newcastle upon Tyne if that helps 😀

I can’t help with your question so am going to move it to the binocular forum, I am also subscribing you to it so you will get an update whenever someone posts to it - but only to this, so you won’t be inundated with emails.

I don't see anything broken, so either it's inside somewhere or the receiving threads could be stripped. Either way it sounds like a repair job for a pro, rather than spare parts.

(NB: this model seems to have a diopter ring under the focus wheel, but they're separate, don't lock together, so it's not a lock issue where you're spinning the diopter instead of focus.)

I have the Savannah 12x56ED which I like, but it works, so no spare parts.

I lived in Sunderland for several years and used to go clubbing in Newcastle, but that doesn't help.

Isn't the 10x56ED under warranty, or wasn't it before disassembly.

There are some here who can advise, and I hope they can help.

I had a rather similar Mistral 10x56, but even when professionally repaired there was stiction in the focus on one side.
Rather poor Chinese mechanics.
The Savannah ED is a bit later, so hopefully somewhat more robust, but maybe not.

I think you will find that there are pieces up inside the focus wheel. When you unscrew them from each other, the repair sequence should become obvious.

I did not see anything about warrantees, but I think it is in the language of the EU markets.

Give them a call and find out what they can do for you.

Yeah I've been in touch with them, there reply was we have some ordered ! But won't receive them for SIX months !!!
