feeding Blackbirds and excluding Magpies (1 Viewer)

I would like to build a ground feeder cage with a mesh size big enough to let Blackbirds and Thrushes feed safely on expensive food such as Mealy worms and Exclude the Magpies who currently dominate my garden. Has anyone a photograph of one they made?

I do put apples out. They have to share these with a flock of Starlings. I want them to get the high fat content foods as well for this cold weather in particular.
