this is presumable Fatfield near Washington, Tyne and Wear? Can you give date, please?
Is it possible to see the original pictures?

But even without, its a male Chaffinch imo. Please note
  • dark steel blue top of the head contrasting with the right red hue to the cheeks/ear-coverts
  • spikey seed-eater bill
  • bright green rump
Yes,this is surely quz-modus and whishful thinking, but I think this is indeed the correct answer. No offense as always.
