I was getting bird food this morning and was going to pick a bag up and I read to see what was in it and there was Wheat in it, do birds eat Wheat and if so what kind?

I do not like to buy feed with Milo in it.

When birds have no choice, they may eat it but it is used primarily as a filler

That is what I throught it was.

Where do you get your Bird feed at?

It seems as if all bird feed have filler in it which I do not like. It is a wast of money.

Around ripe and harvested wheat fields you will find lots of Mourning Doves. So there is a least one species which does eat wheat!

Some bird mixes state that there is 'no wheat', my dog will eat it off the lawn doesn't do her any good goes straight through. (that's labradors for you). My hens always left it till last its the last seed to be eaten. The larger bird will eat it like the Collared Dove and the Blackbird.
