Please see attached photos (original and crop)of two Divers. Photo was taken today of distant birds, and I assumed they would be Red-throated. However, looking at them now on a computer screen, I'm not so sure? The feet in particular seem too big. Great Northern have certainly been moving through the area, and Black-throated are not impossible.

I will be grateful for any thoughts/reasoning.

agree with Jörn,

I think I can just make out the white wingpattern of a Grebe in both pictures. At least in the legt bird. Impression and extent seems good to me, so I think it is really present.
Appearant large amount of White across the wingbase and long neck fits a Great crested Grebe best.

If forced I would opt for a GCG too.
