Digiscoping: What adapter do I need to use spotting scope as prime lens? (1 Viewer)

I have a Celestron Ultima 100x20-60 that I have been using for digiscoping by mounting my Canon EOS M50 II on the eyepiece using a Celestron T-ring. I’m pretty satisfied with the results, but I’ve seen a few posts on different digiscoping forums discussing attaching DSLRs or mirrorless cameras directly onto the scope body using a tube shaped adapter. But the posts are all a decade old and short on details. I can’t find any information on the Celestron website.
Has anyone done this with a Celestron scope? What adapter do I need? Are the images better than mounting on an eyepiece with a T-ring? If it is, I’m curious why?
Any help would be appreciated.
The photo is from the setup I mentioned above at about 40 meters.

If the T ring can be mounted directly to your eyepiece, you don't need a tube shaped adapter.

I have an Opticron MM3 60 ED and use a tube shaped photo adapter (41111) to push and fit over my HDF-T eyepieces. My T2 ring is mounted to that tube to use my Canon 6d mkII because the eyepiece does not have any possibility to mount the T2 ring directly. The eyecup does not ave any screw-thread.
