Dartford Warblers in Avon and Somerset? (1 Viewer)

Hi. After making several trips to Dorset and Minehead to see Dartford Warblers , and having some success , my partner and I decided to try to find them "locally"

Doing some research has shed some info on the popularization of the Mendips hills of Dartford Warblers but alas it does not say where.

There are few areas of gorse around that I can find , and where I have found it We have found Stonechats in good numbers but no sign of Dartford warblers.( "find a Stonechat , find a Dartford") as the saying goes!

The last reported sighting I can find is on blackdown where three were sighted , but this is in 2005.

Are there any recent sightings in the Avon area , and if so , where would you suggest I try? Would be great to find them locally.
A single bird was sighted a couple of years ago at Barrow tanks,(Bristol) but was found the next day to have been caught by a sparrowhawk! (Feathers left over) Thank you , Lee
