any good suggestions as to how to evict the crows trying to build in my chimney? they are loud, messy and stealing food from my blue tits ..

Not sure how it works where your at, animal control maybe required
Inquire about mesh flue cap when and if speaking to chimney sweeps.
Might already have one in need of repair.

Send some smoke up the flu, seems to be the obvious answer. Would you be able to sleep at night though ?.

Fit a cowl to the chimney once you have had it swept. Most likely to be jackdaws.
