Crow With White Claw? (1 Viewer)

Temporary

New member
I have been watching crows for quite awhile now and I spotted one the other day with a white claw. It was a fledgling but I was unable to get a picture. I'm curious if anyone knows what causes this?

Could be any of several causes, from walking through some spilt white paint, a bit of sticky paper label, to a genetic abnormality (look up leucism).

PS welcome to Birdforum!

Although I've never seen/heard of leucism affecting feet, possibly a case of leucism.

Hi there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum :t
