Cumbria Bird Club are now using Go Birding for sightings in the county. It's easy to use and will presumably make it more convenient for county recorders to keep up with the county records.
I'm not sure if this is being utilised throughout the country.
Copy and paste Cumbria Bird Club into your search engine if you are interested.

Hampshire have been using Going Birding for a number of years and it's really easy to record sightings and check what's about. You can also filter out very common birds and there are submission guidelines to try to prevent long lists of common species.
It's a good way of keeping in touch with what's about although these days rarities tend to be shared on What's App groups.
