If success, when do the become tickable? The year 2100 or so?
I've only heard them on Iona, but not seen any. Very frustrating, because they were calling from the grass perhaps 3-4 meters from me but never managed to see one.
Just down the road from me, but haven't heard one yet. Nice to know they're doing so well so far. The only Corncrakes I've ever seen were in captivity for the breeding project, but seems like I'm in the right place to have a small chance for a wild one eventually. Though like you said, no idea when they'll be deemed tickable - what's the lifespan of a corncrake, I guess the only definite wild ones will be any seen that many years after the last batch of captive-bred were released!
