Coolpix 7900 or Powershot SD550? (1 Viewer)

Hello,
Does anyone have experience with digiscoping with the Nikon Coolpix 7900, P1, or P2? How about the Canon PowerShot SD550 (7.1 mp)? I thought it looked like it could do the job, but haven't tried.

I'll be using it with an angled Kowa-823 scope. I've digiscoped for years using my trusty Nikon 885 and have been very pleased, but it's definitely time for an upgrade.
