Hey All,

I only had a few seconds to spot this bird, so I grabbed a couple of shots, but they are all from behind. Im thinking it might be a common yellow throat. What are your thoughts?

Josh,

My initial thought is that it's possible it's Common Yellowthroat, but given your location that the extent and consistency of the pretty bright yellow underparts extending from vent all the up to the belly area might point to a different species.

The “whole” of the underside is yellow, is this a good feature for Yellowthroat?
Am wondering if Mourning Warbler might be a candidate?

Cheers

Do you have any image where you can see the underside of the tail? this would be helpful.

I think mourning W at this time of the year should show some difference in color from mantle to head.
