well ,I have to say that it's so hard for me to identify these two guys ,can someone give me some tips?
the photos were taken in south China yesterday.

Very difficult from those photos. The pattern on the scapulars, broad outer margin and narrower inners, looks more like Common to me.

I would suggest Common snipe with the characters made by Chris.
The loral stripe seems broad like on Common
